1965 Gibson B15 Acoustic Guitar ex John Hiatt vgc £850
I personally really like this little Gibson Acoustic. The B15 was Gibson cashing in on the Mid-1960’s folk boom with a “cheap” guitar made with Melody Maker necks. This is in very good condition but has been extensively played by its previous owners. One of the owners I understand was American singer songwriter John Hiatt. The guitar was originally purchased from a Missouri music store as the sticker is still inside. There is extensive play wear to the top but otherwise this is structurally sound, very playable. It has quite a unique tone that surprised a die hard Martin fanatic like me. This is a parlour sized small bodied “guitar” with largely mahogany construction, very unfussy and simple and all the better for that – a superb 1960’s Gibson acoustic.
